Start your CLAT preparation early

One experience that many top graduates have had is that starting your CLAT preparation early gives you a head start. If you start your CLAT preparation early, you can complete the basics and move on to more complex questions, practise questions and sample papers, and also take practise tests. If you start your preparation for CLAT 2022 early, you can cover most of the topics and gain a comprehensive knowledge of the subjects.

Create and follow a study plan

Preparation for CLAT 2020 needs to be carefully planned, i.e., what topics you will start with, how much time you will allocate, what resources you want to have available, and so on and so forth. A good preparation strategy for CLAT 2022 will help you effortlessly tackle even the more difficult and complicated topics. Some topics may seem very complex at first and may go over your head, but if you buckle down and start with the basics of the topic first, you will eventually be able to decipher even the most difficult topics. Also keep in mind that we all have different reading habits, which also needs to be taken into account. For example, some of us are night owls, while others prefer to read during the day or evening.

And once you have decided on a plan, do not change it every few days, as this will interfere with your CLAT 2022 preparation.

View the CLAT 2022 exam schedule and syllabus

You need to know exactly what is in the CLAT 2022 syllabus and what is the exam syllabus. Is there any negative marking and are the questions subjective or objective? As per the changes made to CLAT, the questions are now comprehension based. If you are familiar with the exam scheme and syllabus, it will also be easier for you to pay extra attention to the topics that carry more weight.

Eliminate your doubts

In the midst of your CLAT exam preparation, many doubts will creep in. Some of them may be temporary, while others may persist and lead to further doubts and thus frustration. At such times, it is important to keep a cool head and get to the heart of the confusion. If necessary, go back to basics, revisit the issues, and try again. Thank your lucky stars that you are dealing with these issues when little is at stake; just imagine what will happen if you get stuck on exam day. So work on your doubts and get a little help from your teacher or friend if needed.

Study regularly

Repetition, and timely repetition, is very important to retain what you have read. When you repeat, you refresh the facts you already know, which sharpens your memory. By repeating regularly, you can keep refining your skills so that they become second nature. The human brain has the unique ability to retain regularly repeated things over a longer period of time.

Analyse the questionnaires of the past years

You need to analyse past years' questionnaires CLAT to understand what types of questions are asked, the weighting of different topics, and to identify key trends. Note that some topics lose lustre over time, while other topics receive more attention. If you are able to identify such a trend, you can pay a little more attention to these topics.
