5 Unique Tips to prepare logical reasoning
1. Learn the terminology
As in any other field, there are a number of terms in logical reasoning with which one must be familiar before tackling the section. Terms like premise, assumption, conclusion, argument, observation, inference, different types of statements, and so on. One must become familiar with all these terms before thinking of tackling this section.
2. An eye for patterns
Candidates must expect to encounter patterns that they do not normally see in their everyday lives. Such patterns test their ability to think logically and also how they anticipate and complete those patterns. Candidates must practice looking closely.
3 Practice
There is no substitute for practice when it comes to logical thinking. Given the dynamic nature of the questions involved, it is difficult to find a fixed structure for solving such questions. While some pattern for solving these questions can be worked out, the degree of difficulty may vary from question to question, and the trick to be used on each question may be different. For this reason, the candidate must solve a wide range of questions to feel reasonably confident in this section.
4. Time management
Logical Reasoning is a section that can exhaust the applicant's time very quickly because it requires the use of the mind. Thus, speed is of the essence. The applicant should be able to answer a question in this section without wasting much time. For this, the applicant's preparation must be excellent, and during the preparation, the applicant should keep an eye on the speed with which he solves the questions and adjust it accordingly.
5. Train your mind
Logical Reasoning is a mental process and requires the mind to be at its best. Therefore, candidates need to work on their mental skills before the exam and make it a habit. Activities such as solving Sudoku, crossword puzzles, playing chess, eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and exercising are some of the activities that help sharpen the mind. A sharp mind will decipher the patterns and structures of questions more accurately and quickly.
Logical Reasoning is not difficult once you get used to solving these questions. If you approach such questions methodically, you can handle them well.
