Glisten Makeup - Best Bridal Make Up Tips
I have learned a few things in my time as a makeup-obsessed makeup lover! Having a few good friends who are makeup artists has also helped, but the one type of makeup I just love is bridal makeup.
I wanted to share some of the tidbits I have picked up over the years watching and talking to my makeup artist friends about bridal makeup. Read on for tips on the best bridal makeup.
(Lips)
Tip 1.
Use a slightly darker shade of lip liner or color in the corners of the lips. Just as a painter uses light and shadow to create the illusion of depth on an apartment canvas, lips can also appear fuller if you use a darker shade in the corners. This shade should not be perceptible to the eye as an independent hue, but should only give the illusion of fullness.
Tip2.
If you have difficulty matching lips and eyes well, you can take an eye color and apply it to the lips. This will not work with every color scheme, but if you use eyeshadow and a pencil, you can color match your lips and eyes perfectly - this does not mean you have to apply a thick layer of eyeshadow to the lips, just press a hint of the color into a gloss or nude shade. The color will not be very noticeable, but it will give balance to the face.
Tip3.
Use a reflective cream or white eyeshadow (a pearl is perfect) and again press a small amount into the center of the lower lip and a little on the upper lip. Color-wise, it's not flashy, but it reflects the light in that area and makes the lips look lush and puffy. Who thought eyeshadow could be so practical?
(Face)
Tip 1.
This is the key to the best bridal makeup ever: USE AN AIRBRUSH. The transformation that airbrush makeup creates is truly phenomenal, and it really is the best bridal makeup I have ever seen. Everything about the airbrush is perfect for bridal makeup (although I use my beloved Dinair kit every day). The foundation formula is lightweight but provides full coverage, lasts a long time, does not rub off when hugging and kissing all the wedding guests, and does not need to be retouched during the wedding.
Tip2.
Contouring is essential for the best bridal makeup in photos - cameras tend to erase the face and make it look apartment. Contouring the jawline, temples, nostrils, and of course, cheekbones adds dimension and depth to the face in photos - and since a wedding is usually the most photographed day of someone's life, this is an important aspect!
